In this blog, we are going to answer all your common queries related to this inevitable problem and also offer you tips to avoid this in the future. So without further ado, let's get into it!

Why Is My Disposable Vape Leaking?

Starting, there might be one or a few reasons for the vape leaking. Here are some common reasons and how to fix your vape in each case:

1. The Tank Is Not Filled Properly

Each and every vape pod has a certain max level up to which it can be filled. If you exceed it and fill it with more, then it will start leaking. You should fill it till that max fill line and leave a certain gap of air. This helps you keep the vape liquid in place.

One other mistake that people usually make while filling the tank is that they mistakenly or not, pour the e-liquid into the central airflow channel. The airflow channel is for forming an airway for your vapor and not for filling the liquid. Filling this airway means your liquid will be leaking from the bottom airflow holes. This will be just a waste of your liquid and obviously, a mess.

So, to avoid this problem, hold your tank at a 45-degree angle and pour liquid into the fill ports (openings on the side of your tank). To avoid overfilling, fill it till the max level line.

2. Coil Not Installed Correctly

For the plug-and-play coils, you have to make sure that the coil is fully pushed in and aligned. The silicone ring that surrounds the coil is also important to make sure it doesn't leak so make sure it is also positioned correctly.

For the screw-in coils, you have to avoid cross-threading which can cause gaps for e-liquid to leak. To avoid this, align the coil carefully before screwing it in.

As for the glass tanks, you have to make sure that all parts are assembled in the correct manner together. But you also have to avoid overtightening as it may damage the silicone seals and cause leaking.

3. Damaged Pod or Tank

It might be the case that your pod or tank is damaged which is causing leaks. The glass tanks can be easily cracked if they are dropped or over-tightened. To check this, you can just unscrew all parts of the vape to make sure there is no visible damage to the silicon seals. In case there is some damage to the silicon seals, you would have to replace the tank or the pod.

4. Coil Needs Changing

Depending on how much you use the vape, the coil usually lasts between 1-2 weeks. If your vape’s coil is burnt out, the cotton won't be able to keep the liquid in place. And, this will result in leaks.

So, in case you are noticing some weird burned taste or discoloration of your liquid, coil might be the culprit! Changing the coil is a simple fix.

Conclusion

Usually, pods and tanks come with their own anti-leak system in place. And if you experience a vape leaking, then feel free to use these tips to solve this inevitable problem.
